Performance Cruising builds the
Gemini at its factory onn Back Creek in Annapolis, MD. This is a photo of the dock at Performance Cruising with Geminis waiting for their owners.
Lettering the Starboard Bow: the Admiral stands back to inspect her work. Why "AngelHeart"? - The captain calls the admiral "Angel" and the admiral calls the captain "My Heart".
One Week Before the Mast!: AngelHeart rests "on the hard" at Performance Cruising.
The workers were not finished with AngelHeart
The salon. The table opens, lowers and becomes a queen sized guest bed when the cushions from the setee are arranged upon it.
The galley is on the starboard side of the boat. This photo was taken from the doorway of the master cabin. You can see the starboard aft cabin in the background.
The Gemini has a propane refrigerator/freezer combination.
This is a view of the entrance to the master cabin as taken from the galley. The master cabin is forward and stretches across the bridgedeck.
This photo was taken inside the master cabin and shows the queen sized bed. The two "window" openings above the headboard allow for air circulation through the boat from the cabin hatch. The black plexiglas pieces slide into position to close off the cabin for privacy.
This is a photo of the entrance to the "head" (bathroom) which is forward in the port hull. What cannot be seen in this photo is a plexiglas door which is folded up on the left inside the head. When this door is unfolded, the toilet is closed off from the rest of the head and a shower area is created between the plexiglas door and the outer door to the head.
There are two aft cabins in the Gemini, starboard and port. The beds are double bed sized. Our starboard aft cabin quickly became a "garage". The port aft cabin is reserved for our grandson, Cobi Keller, who visits in the summer.
This photo shows our solar panels, hammock and our first dinghy - a 9.6 foot Apex for our "family car". (We now have an 11 foot Apex.)
Our cousin, Bill Kietzman, and friends Bob and Judy Martin joined us on June 22, 2002 for our Launching Party. AngelHeart
AngelHeart got a pressure wash during our summer stay at Norview Marina in Deltaville, VA after leaving Annapolis. Here you can see her completely out of the water.

Panama is a fascinating mixture. The islands of the Caribbean have that "laid back" feeling. Yet, Panama City is alive with the bustle of a large city fed by activity from the Panama Canal.

Chichen Itza is so fascinating that we made two trips. The Mayan history was never written. Therefore, much is not known about these ancient people. They were resourceful people and their cities were magnificent. The ruins of these cities continue to draw people from around the world.

We spent two months playing in the Belize Cays and Atolls. Our favorite spots were the cays and atolls - Caye Caulker, St. George's Cay, Tobacco Cay, Turneffe Island on Turneffe Atoll, Lighthouse Reef - as well as Placencia on the coast of the mainland.

The Colombian islands of Providencia, Santa Catalina and San Andres are actually off the coast of Nicaragua! They are an enjoyable stop on the way to Panama and we wished we had been able to spend more time on each island. Santa Catalina and Providencia are on the same bay - joined by a bridge. They seem to be one island. San Andres is further south.

The Rio Dulce in Guatemala is a safe haven during hurricane season. Boats travel 20 miles up the river to safe harbor at the many marinas near Fronteras.

AngelHeart made two "passages" to the Abacos in the Bahamas. The Abacos consist of many islands - from Grand Bahama island, where busy Freeport is found, to uninhabited islands where solitude is easily found.
