It's been a few weeks and it's just now sinking in. I have a boat. Or, rather, a boat has me.

It's sitting on the hard a couple of miles from the open inland water of Lake Michigan. It has, apparently, been there for five or more years.

After driving by it for a couple of weeks on my way to work in Milwaukee, I finally pulled off the freeway, slid down the access road and pulled up next to her. If it wasn't love at first sight, it was at least infatuation -- heavy duty infatuation. I wanted this boat, but could I afford her.
