Monasterio de Santa Catalina in Arequipa, built in 1580. It housed 450 people and took up a city block.
Alfajores - The best cookies ever! We first found these in Buenos Aires a few years ago and were excited to see them again in Peru. They are 2 sugar/butter cookies with dulce de leche in between and then covered in powdered sugar. Yummy.

The Sacred Valley. In this valley over 3,000 varieties of potatoes have been grown and over 80 varieties of corn (at least according to our tour guide).
