San Andres Island - There were more half sunk boats than there were floating boats in the anchorage here. Makes you a bit nervous.
San Andres Island - Although San Andres is off the Nicaragua coast it is owned by Columbia and is a perfect getaway for wealthy Columbians.
San Andres Island - Bottle windchimes.
San Andres Island - Touring the island by golf cart at a whopping 20 MPH.
San Andres Island - Driver Kent in our golf cart. We toured the entire island in about 4 hours.
San Andres Island - Leaving San Andres. There is a little island out in the middle of a big reef. You can barely see a cargo ship on the left ... it was stuck out on the reef aground the entire week we were here. Apparently the capt. fell asleep and drifted onto the reef. Opps.
Oh la la!
Cartagena, Old Town - Woman selling fruit.
Cartagena - Full moon rising over the anchorage.
Cartagena - Kent gets beat by a local named Alvaro. This guy will beat anyone at table tennis, pool, and chess at Club Nautico! He is a kick!
Cartagena - La Casa de la Popa. Beautifully restored garden.
Cartagena skyline - View of the bay from the top of La Casa de la Popa.
Cartagena skyline - You can make out the sailboats anchored in the bay behind Heather.
Cartagena – San Felipe fort. Escape tunnels.
Cartagena – San Felipe fort. Walls built at precise angles to reduce the impact of a canon being shot at them. La Casa de La Popa is in the background, a white building up on the top of the hill.
