Great day motorsailing 6.5 knots sunny, just how it should be,THEN 4:00 PM. Serious thunderstorms tonight blinding rain, 50 mph winds, lightning all around for several hours. The Rocna held firm and the new cockpit windows were great. So we hunkered down and got a break between storms long enough to grill up some burgers. It's all good. Did not get to see Demi as he also had to hunkerdown, maybe tomarrow.
Tomarrow ?? but we want to get north and get away fron these big thunderstorms

Pretty much a normal day moving north. We passed the canal where Demi was staying, early in the morning as he was waiting for high tide. The day changes, OH SO quickly, Gloria was driving when we hit something in the middle of the chanell and wraped it around the prop. Gloria very quickly put it into neutral and then could only run the engine as slow as posible because of the bad vibration. We quickly decided, as there were not many options at this point as we were in a narrow channel and a 1/2 mile from a bridge and a 1/2 mile from the bridge we just went thru. These bridges only open every 1/2 hour and it would be very difficult to navigate. We found a empty dock at a yacht sales office and limped in. I got out the mask and snorkel and dove on the prop--nothing there, as gloria put the boat into forward and reverse to get to the dock it must have came loose. Great news no damage other than a little nick and it seems not to be a problem. And then ofcoarse at 4:00 pm large thunderstorms. Tomarrow Fort Pierce.

Anchorage ***** The anchorage gets 5 stars I would give a 7 Gloria says I like it more because this is where Steve Z. met us.
Well a lot of bridges and looking at more $$ in real estate than you can anywhere in such a small area. There is no way to discribe how much fiberglass there is in Fort Lauderdale, you have to see to belive the boats,no,yachts, that are here. Aagain as we are stopping to anchor for the night the 4:30 thunderstorms begin, but this time the Coast Gaurd is saying 60 knots of wind. But we just get,a near miss, as they move north of us. I get wet and the boat gets washed. We hope to meet up with our friend Demi aboard Sirus who has been in Boca this winter and is heading north also. We met him in Wrightsville Beach NC then hooked up again in Charlelston and sailed together for a couple of weeks. Tomarrow is up in the air, we will leave here but not sure of how far and where we can met Demi.
